Update: 26th August 2009

Welcome to our ‘SPECIAL CHARITY NITES!’ group… a fund raising party based in Leicester who give up their free time to organise events to raise money and awareness for the registered charity Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, as well as other well known UK charities and smaller local charities in our area.

Our first event was at ‘The Black Horse’ in Blaby, Leicester, on Friday 17th July. It was a brilliant success and encouraged lots of interest and support. We raised a total of £400.64, which was split 50/50 between Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and Comic Relief.

Our second event on Tuesday 25th August, was a ‘Curryoke’ night, purely in aid of Muscular Dystrophy, at ‘The Dipali Indian Restaurant’ in Blaby, Leicester. We raised over £500 (exact amount to be announced!).

We are now looking forward to a third, bigger and better, event planned for Friday 2nd October, at Eyres Monsell WMC, Leicester, – which promises to be one very SPECIAL CHARITY NITE!
